Reverse description A detailed architectural rendering of the Puerta del Sol (Gate of the Sun), a medieval Mudéjar gateway in Toledo, dominates the central field. The fortified gate is depicted with its characteristic horseshoe arch, decorative blind arcading, crenellated battlements, and flanking towers, with a suggestion of the River Tagus rendered in low relief at the base. The denomination numeral '5' appears prominently to the left of the gate, with the inscription EURO below it. The legend PUERTA DEL SOL curves along the upper rim, and the design is enclosed by a beaded inner border.
