| 裏面の説明 | Central motif depicts the same stylized Gothic lancet arch with clustered colonettes, set against a satin-finished field. Surrounding the arch, twelve five-pointed stars arranged in a circular pattern evoke the flag of the European Union. In the upper left of the field, a crescent moon and a star motif are visible, while the Portuguese coat of arms shield appears to the right of the arch at mid-field. The border is defined by multiple concentric raised rings, lending the reverse a refined architectural character consistent with the coin's Gothic theme. |

Part of Portugal's "Alma Portuguesa" series, which began in 2017 to document the nation's architectural heritage through collector coinage. The Gothic issue specifically addresses the Manueline period — Portugal's own mutation of late Gothic that absorbed Moorish, Indian, and maritime motifs following the Age of Discovery — a style so architecturally distinct that it has no real parallel elsewhere in Europe.
The .999 fine gold variant sits alongside silver and bimetallic editions in the same release, all sharing the KM#915 base number with letter suffixes differentiating composition.
