| Beschrijving voorzijde | Facing three-quarter portrait bust of Giuseppe Gioachino Belli, the celebrated Roman dialect poet, rendered in high relief with expressive modelling. The subject is depicted with dishevelled hair and a loosely draped collar, conveying a Romantic-era artistic sensibility. The circular legend 'REPUBBLICA ITALIANA' runs along the inner border, reading from lower left to lower right in raised Latin characters. The field is otherwise uncluttered, allowing the sculptural portrait to dominate the composition. The design is the work of engraver Claudia Momoni. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse presents an evocative Roman cityscape combining two iconic architectural landmarks: to the left, the medieval church of Santa Maria in Cosmedin with its distinctive Romanesque bell tower and animated foreground figures, and to the right, the soaring Corinthian columns of the Temple of Hadrian.
