Obverse description The central field displays the ornate coat of arms of the Republic of San Marino, rendered after the woodcut carving of the throne in the Council Chamber. The shield bears the three towers atop Monte Titano on a blue field, surmounted by a closed crown and flanked by two laurel branches. The encircling legend reads REPUBBLICA DI SAN MARINO and LIBERTA, with the engraver's signature V. DE SETA positioned in the lower field.
