Obverse description The obverse features a stylized depiction of a traditional teapot rendered in high relief at center, its elegant curved spout and handle forming the dominant design element in reference to the Five O'Clock Tea tradition attributed to Catherine of Braganza. To the left of the teapot, the Portuguese coat of arms appears in the lower field, accompanied by the denomination '5 EURO' above it. The legend 'PORTUGAL - 2016' arcs along the upper left rim, while the inscription 'FIVE O'CLOCK TEA' runs vertically along the right side of the field. The engraver's initials 'J.V.' and the mint mark 'INCM' appear in the lower field.

Reverse description The reverse presents a large portrait bust of Catherine of Braganza (D. Catarina de Bragança) filling the right portion of the field, rendered in fine relief. Her face is depicted in a near-frontal orientation with elaborately curled ringlets framing her features, and a pearl necklace is visible at her décolletage, reflecting the baroque portraiture style of the seventeenth century. To the left of the portrait, the inscription 'D. CATARINA DE BRAGANÇA' appears vertically, with the birth and death years '1638' and '1705' below it. The design is executed in a clean, modern interpretive style celebrating the Portuguese-born Queen consort of England.
