| Obverse description | The heraldic coat of arms of the city of Burgos occupies the central field, depicting a fortified castle with towers flanked by two smaller castle structures, surmounted by a royal crown, and bearing a seated crowned figure in the lower portion of the shield. The motto PRIMA VOCE ET FIDE / CAPUT CASTELLAE / CAMERA REGIA is inscribed within and around the shield. The legend ESPAÑA appears to the left and BURGOS to the right, with the date 2011 below and the Madrid Mint mark (M) to the lower right. A beaded border runs along the coin's circumference. |
