| Описание аверса | Central field depicts the interior of the legislative chamber of Palazzo Madama, seat of the Italian Senate, with the institutional logo of the Senate of the Republic prominently rendered at the bottom. The design is framed by a colored blue border inspired by the decorative motifs of the vaulted ceiling known as the Velario. The arched legend REPUBBLICA ITALIANA appears at the top, delimited by a thin band incorporating the colors of the Italian tricolor flag. Flanking the central composition are two calendar cartouches bearing the dates 8 MAGGIO 1948 and 8 MAGGIO 2023, commemorating the seventy-fifth anniversary of the first session of the Republican Senate, with the Senate logo at center rendered in fine microwriting. |

Below the fresco detail, the date 8 MAGGIO 1948 appears alongside the founding inscription PER SUFFRAGIO DI POPOLO A PRESIDIO DI PUBBLICHE LIBERTÀ, taken from the front wall of the legislative chamber.
