| Beschrijving voorzijde | The coat of arms of the Republic of Palau occupies the central field, depicted as a shield bearing Neptune seated and holding a trident, accompanied by a mermaid, with an overturned treasure chest amid stylized waves, and a crescent moon and star above. A traditional Palauan outrigger canoe with a paddler appears above the shield against a mirror-polished field. Eight stars are arranged in an arc around the upper periphery, flanking the shield on either side. The legend REPUBLIC OF PALAU curves along the upper rim, while the inscription RAINBOW'S END appears on a scroll at the base of the shield. The denomination 5$ is inscribed at the bottom of the field. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
Palau has operated a prolific bullion and commemorative program since the 1990s, contracting most production to the Bavarian State Mint in Munich and the Polish Mint in Warsaw. The Lunar series to which this piece belongs targets the Southeast Asian collector market, where demand for pig-year issues spikes sharply in the months preceding the relevant new year — in this case, the Year of the Pig beginning February 5, 2019.
