A traditional Palauan canoe with a paddler appears above the shield. The shield is bordered by a decorative frame of floral and wave motifs. Six five-pointed stars are arranged to either side of the shield in the field. The curved legend REPUBLIC OF PALAU arcs along the upper rim within a dark border, the motto RAINBOW'S END appears at the base of the shield, and the denomination 5$ is inscribed at the bottom of the field. |
