Walking Liberty was Augustus Saint-Gaudens' 1907 design for the U.S. half dollar — one of the most admired American coin designs ever produced, and the same imagery later adapted for the American Gold Eagle bullion series from 1986 onward. Cook Islands has issued a long-running series of miniature gold pieces under Elizabeth II's authority, leveraging the territory's status as a New Zealand realm to produce numismatic issues that circulate legally but are produced entirely for the collector market.
