Aanvullende informatie

One of 28 silver denominations struck across four series between 1973 and 1976, this coin was part of the largest commemorative coin program the Royal Canadian Mint had ever undertaken to that point — financing a meaningful portion of the Montreal Games' infrastructure costs. The program raised over $250 million CAD, though the Games themselves still ran massively over budget, saddling Quebec with debt that took until 2006 to fully repay.

Two variants exist under the Ch#RC-1426 references: one with and one without the water lines below the village design, a die modification made partway through production.
