| Additional information |
The Autumn Maple Leaf was part of the Royal Canadian Mint's seasonal colour series, which applied selective gold plating over the standard Silver Maple Leaf blank to distinguish each quarter of the year. The 2001 issue predates the widespread adoption of radial line security fields that the RCM introduced on bullion Maples from 2013 onward — meaning this piece lacks both the micro-engraved laser mark and the radial finishing that later became standard anti-counterfeiting measures on the series.
