Reverse description The reverse depicts the Greek goddess Hera seated regally to the right in draped classical robes, adorned with gilded jewelry including a laurel-leaf diadem, elaborate drop earrings, a necklace set with a crystal insert, and an ornate gold cuff bracelet. She extends her right hand to cradle a vivid red pomegranate, her sacred symbol of fertility and marriage. Beside her stands a magnificent golden peacock in high relief, its plumage rendered with gilded selective coloring. To the left, two classical figures — a pregnant woman and a bearded male — are shown in sculptural relief amid a profuse arrangement of flowers rendered in finely detailed antiqued silver. The background is filled with a striking colored inlay of iridescent peacock feathers adorned with multiple crystal inserts, and the legend HERA arches across the upper field in raised Latin lettering.
