| Obverse description | The obverse is struck in the form of a convex ancient shield, its hammered field rendered with an antiqued finish evoking aged metal. At centre, the Public Seal of Niue is depicted within an ornate cartouche surmounted by a royal crown; the seal itself shows a stylised breadfruit tree surrounded by a traditional Niuean decorative border. Flanking the seal are two crossed traditional Niuean clubs (patu), and below them a scroll bearing the legend ATUA NIUE TUKULAGI. The denomination FIVE DOLLARS arcs along the upper field, with the date 2025 prominently positioned in the lower field, all enclosed by a beaded and rope-pattern border replicating the rim of a decorative shield. |
