Obverse description The central device features a gold-plated high-relief rendition of Augustus Saint-Gaudens' celebrated Liberty design, faithfully reproducing the obverse of the 1933 Saint-Gaudens Double Eagle. A full-length draped figure of Liberty strides forward to the left, holding a torch aloft in her right hand and an olive branch in her left, against a background of radiating sunrays; the date 1933 appears to the lower right within the central disc. A ring of thirteen stars encircles the inner design, and the legend LIBERTY arcs along the upper portion of the gold-plated field. The surrounding blackened silver border bears the inscriptions NIUE ISLAND and FIVE DOLLARS in raised letters at the top, flanked by the Niue public seal at the apex, with the specifications 2 oz, 2025, and Ag 999 distributed around the lower border.

Reverse description The central device presents a gold-plated high-relief reproduction of the reverse of the 1933 Saint-Gaudens Double Eagle, depicting a bald eagle in powerful left-facing flight with wings fully extended across the field, set against radiating sunrays emanating from the lower portion. The legend UNITED·STATES·OF·AMERICA arcs above the eagle, with TWENTY·DOLLARS immediately below it, and the motto IN·GOD·WE·TRUST appears in the lower exergue of the inner disc. The surrounding blackened silver border carries the inscription GREATEST UNITED STATES COINS arranged circumferentially, with a small American flag cartouche positioned at the base of the border between the inner and outer fields.
