| 裏面の説明 | The central design features a large stylized Arabic numeral '7' overlaid with a crescent motif and a satellite dish, symbolising modernity and the date of the 7 November 1987 coup. An olive branch extends to the upper right, a recurring symbol of peace in Tunisian coinage. The Arabic legend 'الذكرى الخامسة عشرة للسابع من نوفمبر' (15th Anniversary of 7 November) arcs along the upper border. The Gregorian year '2002' and the Hijri year '1423' are inscribed in the lower exergue flanking a central ornament. The engraver's signature 'مطيمط' (Mtimet) appears in small script at the lower centre of the field. |

Tunisia's 1987 "coup médical" — in which Zine El Abidine Ben Ali had Bourguiba declared medically unfit and assumed the presidency without a single shot fired on the night of November 7th — was subsequently institutionalized as a national holiday called "Changement Day." This commemorative marks the 15th anniversary of that transition, issued in the year Ben Ali's grip on the country was near its apex, more than a decade before the 2011 revolution forced him into Saudi exile.
The Arabic-legend variant exists alongside a French-legend counterpart for the same issue, a standard Tunisian practice for commemorative gold of this period.
