正面描述 Bare-headed effigy of King Oscar I facing right, with short side-whiskers, set within a beaded inner circle. The royal legend encircles the portrait along the outer rim. The portrait is rendered in a restrained neoclassical style with clean, high-relief modeling typical of mid-19th-century Scandinavian coinage.

背面描述 Plain field bearing the incuse denomination numeral and unit designation centrally arranged in two elements. The design is minimal, with no additional ornamental detail, border devices, or exergual inscription, consistent with the utilitarian nature of a pattern strike intended to test the denomination concept.

附加信息

Oscar I had been king for less than a year when this pattern was struck in 1844, part of an abortive attempt to rationalize Swedish coinage toward a decimal system decades before the country actually achieved one. Sweden would not adopt decimal currency until 1855, and the "cent" denomination proposed here was never issued for circulation — the riksdaler banco system limped on in its fractional complexity for another decade.
