| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse displays a square central device reminiscent of a traditional cash coin hole, rendered in relief and surrounded by a beaded inner border. Encircling this central motif is a band of Uyghur-Arabic script rendered in flowing cursive, denoting the denomination and mint of issue. An outer legend in Chinese characters occupies the periphery, reading 文五錢紅當 (Each piece worth 5 Cash) on the upper arc and 造喀疆新 (Made in Kashgar, Sinkiang) on the lower arc. The combination of Chinese and Arabic scripts reflects the bilingual administrative character of Sinkiang Province under the early Republic.
