Obverse description Right-facing draped bust of King Frederik IV of Denmark, portrayed with a long, flowing curled wig characteristic of the early 18th-century Baroque style. The king is shown in armour with a visible gorget and drapery over the shoulder. The circular Latin legend reads FRID·IIII·D·G·REX·DAN·NOR·V·G· around the upper and lateral fields, with the engraver's initials M·A· placed below the bust near the lower rim. The portrait is rendered in high relief with fine detail in the wig and armour.
