The giraffe is rendered in naturalistic polychrome color against a stylized background, occupying the majority of the octagonal reverse field. The Chinese characters 鄭和 (Zheng He) appear prominently in the field, with the date 2005 and the legend AFRICAN TRIBUTE TO THE MING DYNASTY completing the inscription around the design. |
