The peripheral legend reads PETRUS I D.G. CONST. IMP. ET PERP. BRAS. DEF., identifying Emperor Pedro I of Brazil by his full imperial title. The date and mint mark appear at the bottom of the legend, below the wreath. The coin's rim is defined by a finely executed toothed or beaded border. The overall design is rendered in a restrained neoclassical style characteristic of early Brazilian imperial coinage. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | The reverse displays the imperial arms of Brazil at center: a rectangular shield bearing the armillary sphere and the Southern Cross constellation encircled by a wreath of stars, the whole surmounted by the Imperial Crown of Brazil rendered in fine relief with arched bands and a cross at the apex. The shield is flanked by two upright branches — an oak branch to the left and a coffee branch to the right — tied together at the base with a ribbon bow. The encircling legend IN HOC SIGNO VINCES ('In this sign thou shalt conquer') arcs around the upper field, separated from the rim by a toothed border. |
