| Obverse description | Frontal bust of Emperor Tiberius II Constantine, crowned and wearing imperial loros and mantle, depicted in full imperial regalia. The emperor holds a mappa in his right hand and an eagle-tipped sceptre in his left, with a cross surmounting the eagle finial. The effigy is rendered in the characteristic flat, hieratic style of Byzantine coinage, with the bust occupying the full field.
