| Description du revers | The large Greek numeral M (denoting 40 nummi) dominates the reverse field, flanked to the left by a six-pointed star and to the right by a Latin cross, both serving as decorative and denominational markers. A cross surmounts the M above, and a horizontal line or exergual bar divides the field from the exergue below. The mint signature KART appears in the exergue, identifying the Carthage mint. The overall composition is bold and symmetrical, consistent with the standard follis reverse design established under Anastasius I and continued through the reign of Justinian I.
