Beneath, the denomination SKILLING is inscribed in bold serif capitals across the mid-field, followed by the date 1842 with a terminal stop. At the bottom of the field, the mint mark of the Kongsberg mint is rendered as two crossed mining hammers, referencing the town's historic silver mining heritage. The design is plain and utilitarian, with no border legend. |
