| 正面描述 | Central field displays the coat of arms of Saint Vincent, featuring a shield charged with two female figures — one standing and presenting an olive branch, the other kneeling beside an altar — surmounted by a cotton plant as crest. A scroll beneath the shield bears the Latin motto PAX·ET·JUSTITIA. The date 1970 appears below the motto, with the issuer name SAINT VINCENT inscribed at the base of the field. The commemorative legend INAUGURATION OF THE CARIBBEAN DEVELOPMENT BANK curves along the outer border. |

Issued under the FAO's "Food for All" campaign, this piece was part of a coordinated push by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization that prompted dozens of countries — many of them newly independent or still under British administration — to release commemorative coinage throughout the late 1960s and early 1970s. Saint Vincent was still a British Associated State at the time, having gained that status in 1969, with full independence not coming until 1979.
The FAO program essentially subsidized these issues, making them as much an exercise in international development optics as in numismatic production.
