| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse depicts a decorative scene after a ceramic work by the celebrated Hungarian folk art ceramicist Margit Kovács, showing an angel figure tending to a reclining human form, rendered in a naïve folk-art style characteristic of the artist's oeuvre. The name 'KOVÁCS · MARGIT' is inscribed along the upper periphery, flanked by interpuncts, with the birth and centenary years '1902 · 2002' in the lower field separated by a stylised ornamental motif. The engraver's monogram 'GJ' appears to the left within the design field. The whole is enclosed by an inner beaded border against a mirror-polished proof field. |
