| 正面描述 | The gold-coloured inner disc features a finely detailed depiction of the Holy Crown of Saint Stephen (the Hungarian royal crown), shown frontally with its characteristic bent cross atop, enamelled arches, and pendant ornaments. Below the crown, the denomination '3000 FORINT' is inscribed in bold raised lettering across the lower portion of the inner disc. The surrounding silver ring bears the circular legend 'MAGYAR KÖZTÁRSASÁG' (Republic of Hungary) distributed around the upper arc, with the date '1999' and the Budapest mint mark 'BP.' appearing at the base of the ring, accompanied by the mint master's privy mark. |

Issued to mark the 1000th anniversary of the Hungarian state, this coin commemorates the crowning of István I (Stephen I) on Christmas Day in the year 1000 — an event that formally anchored Hungary within Latin Christendom and secured papal recognition under a crown sent by Pope Sylvester II. The bimetallic format, pairing sterling silver with a gold-plated outer ring, was a deliberate allusion to the gold and silver coinage of the medieval kingdom rather than a purely modern design conceit.
