Obverse descriptionBrown on light brown underprint. Frame composed of arabesques and volutes winding around the border. Coat of arms of Suriname in the center composed of two Indians surrounding a medallion containing a sailboat. Below in a banner, the national motto of the country in Latin: Justitia Pietas Fides (Justice, Piety, Fidelity). The place (Paramaribo) and the date are printed in the center. At the bottom of the note, a scene symbolizing the arrival of the first Europeans in Suriname with a scene of welcome and offerings. In the background, goods unloaded on the beach and a sailboat anchored in a bay. Texts in Dutch. Value `300` in the corners. A combination of signatures in black with the Director and the Director-President.
