The mintmark appears between the lion's hind legs. Beyond the inner circle, the king's motto is inscribed as a continuous legend, with the date divided and flanked by decorative stops at the conclusion of the inscription. The composition reflects the bold heraldic style characteristic of Danish-Norwegian coinage of the mid-17th century. |
