| Reverse description | A crowned, two-tailed rampant lion, the heraldic symbol of Norway, is depicted in high relief within a beaded inner circle, grasping a curved halberd (voulge) in its forepaws. The mintmark appears between the lion's hind legs. Beyond the inner circle, the king's motto is inscribed as a continuous legend, with the date divided and flanked by decorative stops at the conclusion of the inscription. The composition reflects the bold heraldic style characteristic of Danish-Norwegian coinage of the mid-17th century. |
