| 裏面の説明 | The reverse is printed in black on plain paper with repetitive denomination text 'три рубля' forming border strips along the top and sides. The central field carries two columns of text: the left column states that the note is exchangeable for general state money, and the right column declares its value equivalent to the gold rouble of 1915. The abbreviation 'Д.В.Р.' (Far Eastern Republic) appears prominently in the upper centre, and the year '1920' is printed centrally. The anti-counterfeiting warning 'ПОДДЕЛКА ПРЕСЛЕДУЕТСЯ ЗАКОНОМ' (Forgery is prosecuted by law) runs along the lower portion. |

The Sakhalin Oblast People's Revolutionary Committee was a short-lived Bolshevik administration on the island during the chaotic period following the Russian Civil War. Japanese forces had occupied most of Sakhalin by 1920, effectively limiting the committee's territorial authority to a narrow zone in the north. Notes issued under this authority circulated under extreme geographic and political pressure, with supply lines severed and no meaningful backing behind the paper.
The S1277 series is poorly documented — printer, print run, and precise duration of issue are all uncertain. Survivors are rare, likely reflecting both small original quantities and subsequent destruction as Soviet administrative authority eventually consolidated.
