| Reverse description | The reverse depicts a faithful representation of the Rzhev Memorial to the Soviet Soldier, inaugurated in 2020 near Rzhev, Tver Oblast. The central motif shows the monumental figure of a Soviet infantryman in full uniform and greatcoat, standing erect and gazing solemnly forward, his lower body merging into a dramatic composition of cranes in flight — symbolising the souls of fallen soldiers as evoked in the celebrated wartime poem. Silhouetted cranes soar across the darkened field to the left and right of the figure, rendered in frosted relief against the mirror background to create a striking contrast. The Cyrillic legend РЖЕВСКИЙ МЕМОРИАЛ СОВЕТСКОМУ СОЛДАТУ curves along the upper periphery of the coin. |
