| Obverse description | The obverse features the State Emblem of the Russian Federation — a double-headed eagle displayed, crowned with three imperial crowns, holding an orb and sceptre, with a shield depicting Saint George slaying the dragon on its breast — rendered in high relief against a mirror-polished field. The Cyrillic legend РОССИЙСКАЯ ФЕДЕРАЦИЯ (RUSSIAN FEDERATION) arcs along the upper periphery, flanked by two small rhomboid ornaments at the sides. Below the eagle, the issuer inscription БАНК РОССИИ and the denomination 3 РУБЛЯ appear in two lines, with the date 2020 г. beneath.
