| Reversbeschreibung | Central design features the arms of the City of Riga — a crowned shield bearing two crossed keys above a horizontal bar, enclosed within a beaded inner circle and flanked by elaborate foliate and floral ornaments. The two-digit date numerals (e.g. 47 for 1647) appear at the top of the field, divided by the central motif, with the denomination numeral 24 inscribed within the lower portion of the inner circle and the numeral 3 placed at the bottom of the field indicating the 3 Polker value. Riga's municipal coinage of the 1640s was produced under the Swedish crown's administrative framework following the city's incorporation into Swedish Livonia after 1621, yet the city retained the right to strike coins in its own name — a commercial concession tied directly to Riga's importance as the principal Baltic grain port. The polker denomination itself was a regional accounting unit with little circulation outside the eastern Baltic trade zone.
