Reverse description The reverse displays a large Greek letter Gamma (Γ), serving as the numeral denoting the denomination of 3 nummi, centrally placed within a circular border or dotted border line. The mark of value is boldly rendered and occupies the majority of the reverse field, consistent with the utilitarian design of the Alexandrian mint's smallest copper issues. No mint mark or exergual inscription accompanies the type. The flan is irregular and the strike is typical of the roughly produced minor coinage of the period.
