| Additional information |
Charles VI issued this 3 Kreuzer from the St. Veit mint in Carinthia during the same year he promulgated the Pragmatic Sanction — the decree by which he attempted to secure Habsburg succession through his daughter Maria Theresa, having produced no male heir. The St. Veit facility was among the older provincial Austrian mints, its output generally less uniform than Vienna's, and pieces from this year show measurable die-to-die variation in striking pressure.
