Obverse description Central device features a coiled imperial dragon rendered in high relief within a beaded inner circle, its scaled body and clawed feet depicted in dynamic posture against a polished field. The surrounding legend, reading clockwise from upper right in Chinese characters, reads 大朝鮮 開國四百九十七年 (Great Joseon, 497th Year of Founding), with the Korean denomination 일원 (One Won) also present. Below the inner circle, the Latin inscription 1 WARN appears flanked by the fineness indicator 900 and the weight figure 416, all separated by raised dots. The entire design is enclosed within a continuous beaded border along the coin's rim.
