Reverse description The reverse features a highly detailed, naturalistic rendition of the Guaria Morada (Guarianthe skinneri), Costa Rica's national flower, prominently centered in the field. Two blossoms with distinctly modeled petals and sepals are shown in bloom, with foliage and stems extending across the composition. Flanking sprays of leafy branches frame the floral motif on either side, lending an elegant botanical symmetry to the design. The denomination 250 COLONES is inscribed in bold letters along the lower left portion of the field. The mirrored proof surface enhances the delicate sculptural detail of the orchid's petals and leaves.
