Obverse description Central denomination numeral '25' appears within a beaded inner circle, flanked above by the legend 'REPUBLIK ÖSTERREICH' and below by 'SCHILLING', all rendered in Latin characters. Surrounding the beaded circle are the nine heraldic shields representing the provinces of Austria, arranged in a ring. Small decorative foliate sprays appear at the base of the shield arrangement, lending a formal heraldic character to the design.
