| Additional information |
The House of Bolin was a Swedish-founded jewelry firm that operated in St. Petersburg from 1796 and became one of the principal suppliers to the Imperial Court, holding the title of Court Jeweler under multiple tsars. The firm fled Russia after 1917 and reestablished in Stockholm, where it still operates — one of the very few pre-revolutionary luxury houses to survive intact. This coin belongs to the Bank of Russia's long-running series honoring historic Russian jewelry and decorative art traditions, a program that has produced some of the more technically ambitious silver issues in contemporary Russian numismatics.
