| 裏面の説明 | The reverse depicts a stylized commemorative composition representing the Hero City of Moscow, featuring a fragmented stone wall or fortification relief at center, evoking wartime ruins, with a Gold Star Medal suspended to the right on a ribbon. The dates '1941' and '1945' appear within a laurel sprig at the lower center, framing the years of the Battle of Moscow and the end of World War II. The curved inscription 'ГОРОД-ГЕРОЙ МОСКВА' (Hero City Moscow) arches along the upper periphery of the field. |

Transdniestria — the narrow strip of land between the Dniester River and the Ukrainian border — has issued its own currency since the early 1990s despite receiving no recognition from the United Nations or any sovereign state. The Hero City series commemorates Soviet cities awarded the title for wartime resistance, a designation Stalin introduced in 1945. Moscow received the honor retroactively in 1965, on the twentieth anniversary of Victory Day.
Coins from this issuer circulate only within a territory whose legal status remains unresolved since the 1992 war with Moldova.
