The date 2022 г. is struck at the bottom of the field, and the engraver's initials monogram appears to the lower right of the eagle. Part of the Bank of Russia's ongoing children's animation series, this issue commemorates the Soviet-era cartoon franchise Vesyolaya Karusel (Happy Merry-Go-Round), an anthology series that launched in 1969 at Soyuzmultfilm and ran for decades across more than fifty individual shorts. The numbering — "No. 1" — reflects the first entry in a planned multi-coin subseries, a format the CBR has used repeatedly to drive sequential collecting behavior in its commemorative programs.
