| Beschrijving voorzijde | The state emblem of Transnistria occupies the central field, depicting a Soviet-style coat of arms composed of a hammer and sickle surmounted by a five-pointed star, flanked by sheaves of wheat, with the initials 'ПМР' (PMR) inscribed on a ribbon at the base. The denomination '25 РУБЛЕЙ' is rendered in bold Cyrillic characters below the emblem, with the date '2021' flanked by two dots in the lower exergue. The circular legend 'ПРИДНЕСТРОВСКИЙ РЕСПУБЛИКАНСКИЙ БАНК' runs along the upper periphery. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
Transnistria's habit of issuing football club coins is well established, but FC Sheriff occupies an unusual position even within that tradition. The club, founded in 1997 and bankrolled by the Sheriff conglomerate that controls much of Tiraspol's economy, won the UEFA Champions League group stage in 2021 — defeating Real Madrid at the Bernabéu — which lends this issue a rare coincidence of timing. A coin commemorating a club that had just beaten the most decorated side in European football, issued by a state unrecognized by any UN member country.
