| 正面描述 | The state emblem of Transnistria — a Soviet-style shield bearing a hammer and sickle with a star — occupies the central field. The denomination '25 РУБЛЕЙ' is inscribed below the emblem, with the date '2021' appearing in the lower exergue area flanked by decorative dots. The circular legend 'ПРИДНЕСТРОВСКИЙ РЕСПУБЛИКАНСКИЙ БАНК' runs along the periphery in Cyrillic script. |

Transnistria's unrecognized status — a breakaway state from Moldova since 1990, backed by Russian forces and unacknowledged by any UN member — gives its coinage an unusual character: legally issued by a central bank that most of the world refuses to recognize. The Cossack army series draws on the region's identification with Zaporozhian and Don Cossack heritage, a historical narrative the Tiraspol government has promoted deliberately to distinguish Transnistrian identity from Moldovan.
KM#462 places this among a broader commemorative program the Transnistrian Republican Bank has maintained since the mid-1990s, issuing collector pieces in a currency that remains inconvertible outside its territory.
