At left, a large vignette presents an allegorical agricultural and maritime scene with figures surrounded by produce and a steamship in the background. At upper center, the issuer's name EL BANCO NACIONAL DE SANTO DOMINGO is rendered in bold lettering across the top, with the promise to pay legend and denomination VEINTICINCO PESOS in large type below. Within the oval, the numeral 25 appears in a smaller central cartouche flanked on each side by the word PESOS. The issuer's name BANCO NACIONAL DE SANTO DOMINGO arcs across the upper and lower portions of the central medallion in bold serif lettering, all surrounded by intricate engine-turned rosette patterns extending to the corners of the note. |
