| Obverse description | The obverse is printed in black on cream-toned paper. At left, a large vignette presents an allegorical agricultural and maritime scene with figures surrounded by produce and a steamship in the background. At upper center, the issuer's name EL BANCO NACIONAL DE SANTO DOMINGO is rendered in bold lettering across the top, with the promise to pay legend and denomination VEINTICINCO PESOS in large type below. At right, an oval vignette carries the coat of arms of the Dominican Republic, with series and number designations at lower left and signature lines for EL INSPECTOR and EL CAJERO PRIMERO. |
