| Obverse description | Diademed and draped effigy of Queen Elizabeth II facing right, depicted at approximately 64 years of age, wearing the royal diadem, a necklace, and earrings, as designed by Dora de Pédery-Hunt. The legend ELIZABETH II D·G·REGINA arcs along the upper periphery, with the denomination 25 CENTS positioned along the lower periphery. The portrait occupies the central field in a refined, realistic style characteristic of the fourth effigy series used on Canadian coinage. |
