Obverse description The crowned coat of arms of the Netherlands Antilles occupies the center of the obverse, displaying the six-quartered shield representing the six islands of the federation. The Latin motto LIBERTATE UNANIMUS (Unified by Freedom) arcs below the shield, while the legend NEDERLANDSE ANTILLEN curves along the upper periphery. The date appears in the exergue at the bottom of the field.
