| Obverse description | Large crowned royal monogram 'B' for King Baudouin I dominates the center of the field, with the four-digit date divided on either side — '19' to the left and the final two digits to the right of the monogram. A royal crown surmounts the monogram at top. The engraver's signature 'RAF MAILLEUX' appears in small letters in the lower exergue area beneath the monogram. The design is bold and simple, rendered in a clean, modernist style typical of mid-twentieth-century Belgian coinage. |
