| Obverse description | Rectangular proof-finish field dominated by a large cross motif with radiating sun-ray lines emanating from its centre, struck in high relief against a mirror-polished background. At the centre of the cross, the inscription CHRZEST POLSKI (Baptism of Poland) appears in bold relief lettering, with the date 966 below, referencing the Christianisation of Poland. A Holy Spirit dove in high relief is positioned at the top of the vertical arm of the cross. Flanking the horizontal arms of the cross are two bas-relief panels depicting historical scenes of the baptism ceremony, with groups of robed figures gathered around a baptismal font on the left and ecclesiastical figures on the right. The lower left field bears the arms of Cameroon and the silver fineness mark Ag 999; the legend REPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROUN runs vertically along the left border, and 25000 FRANCS CFA appears vertically along the right border, with the year 2016 in the lower right corner. |
